Our class on Tuesday 19th was a special one with all proceeds going towards helping a family we met in India last year. We raised over £650. Thank you to everyone who attended the class and/or made a donation.

A helping hand
As most of you know we had an amazing trip to the Himalayas last year with Create Space Yoga Retreats (CSYR) run by Taran Jenkins. CSYR donate $25 from each guest to their charity project which supports underprivileged women and children in India, a cause that Taran is passionate about. We were lucky enough to stay with one of the families supported by the charity and it was a humbling and moving experience. The money they receive is used to provide education support for the girls, medical care for the family, transport to and from the village when needed, clean water supplies and house repairs after the monsoon and much much more.

Because of the coronavirus this charity has lost all of its income. Of course, there are many worthy causes that need our help at the moment but this feels very personal and we know any money raised will have an immediate impact on the wonderful people we met in India.

So I have decided to donate all student fees from our class on Tuesday 19th May to Taran's project. If you would like to donate more than the £7 class fee simply add another class pass to your booking for that day. Hopefully you would like to get involved. Even if you can't make the class, you can still donate. The pictures below include some of the family we are supporting.
